ChatGPT supports MCP servers for connected tools. Point it at Runstack’s hosted endpoint to use the same MCP tools as IDEs.

Setup

In ChatGPT:

  1. Open Settings → Connected tools → Add tool
  2. Choose MCP server
  3. Enter:
URL: https://app.runstack.engineer/mcp
Authorization: Bearer rnsk_YOUR_API_KEY

Create a key under API Keys if you do not have one.

ChatGPT discovers the four meta tools automatically. Prompts like “search for GitHub tools” or “create a Linear issue” route through Runstack.

Notes

  • OAuth for Gmail, GitHub, and other toolkits still happens through Runstack when a tool requires a connection.
  • Usage limits apply to execute_tool calls on your API key plan.
