Claude Desktop supports remote MCP servers over HTTP. Runstack exposes the four MCP tools at https://app.runstack.engineer/mcp.

Configuration

Edit ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json on macOS (paths differ on Windows and Linux):

Get a key from API Keys. Restart Claude Desktop after saving.

Verify

Start a new chat and confirm Runstack tools appear. Ask Claude to search the registry (for example GitHub or Linear tools) before executing an action.

stdio alternative

For a local subprocess instead of HTTP, configure Claude Desktop with @rnsk/mcp (npx -y @rnsk/mcp and RUNSTACK_API_KEY).
